"Reconnect, Release, and Rise"
My dear friend Erin Safe (who runs Mad Fitness in Slade Point) and I envisioned something special and nourishing for the women in our community—a retreat where they could pause, breathe, and reconnect with themselves. That vision came to life with our women's retreat, cheekily called Calm the F* Down Women’s Retreat.
Our passion for health, wellness and healing, guided every step of this journey. Together, our retreats create an atmosphere of warmth and empowerment that resonated deeply with each participant.
Our Women’s Retreats have been perfectly timed after the school holidays, many participants—especially mums—found it to be the ideal escape for unwinding and recharging after putting everyone else’s needs first throughout the school holidays. These retreats are not just for mothers, though—they are for ALL women craving a day to focus on their well-being, away from life’s stresses. Our retreats included.
Women’s Circle Self-Love Workshop: Empowering sessions where participants connected, shared their experiences, and learned to prioritise self-love.
Heart Chakra Focused Yin Yoga: Calming yoga sessions that open the heart chakra and promote emotional healing.
Guided Bush Walk: Serene walks through the Wetlands Walkabout, allowing us to reconnect with nature and ground ourselves.
Relaxation Time: We intentionally created space for the ladies to indulge in a nourishing activity of their choice. There were stations for mindful coloring, reading spiritual books, a games area, peaceful spots to relax under the trees, and cozy spaces for meaningful conversations and connection with others.
Mini Relaxation Massages & Tarot Readings: These optional sessions allowed participants to dive deeper into their personal journeys of relaxation and self-discovery.
Releasing Ritual: Powerful ceremonies where we let go of what no longer served us, and made space for renewal and positive energy.
Guided Meditations: We experienced soothing yet powerful guided meditations designed to help us connect deeply with our inner child, releasing old traumas from the past and inviting healing and renewal.
Throughout each day, we indulged in delicious, nourishing meals, including a scrumptious lunch and morning tea, which added to the sense of care and rejuvenation.
Our Calm The F* Down Women’s Retreats were truly transformative, offering women a much-needed break from the chaos of everyday life. Our retreats are designed to help participants reconnect with themselves, rediscover their self-worth, and embrace self-love and provide a sanctuary for healing and renewal.
We can't wait to see where this journey takes us. We are in the process of planning the next one now and look forward to offering many more retreats in the future!
